Kendall the Kindle

 Hello everyone!!  I got a Kindle for Christmas.  And I love it and I've decorated it's cover and I've named it Kendall.  And I've read two books on it.  Kendall is my new best friend.  But Kendall seems to be lacking in porn.  That's right.  All those free Classics and Hunger Games and some stolen Harry Potter (because they're not available for purchase on amazon and honestly, me owning a hardcopy set and several softcovers should give me the right to not have to buy them anymore).  All that and I still feel as though my Kendall is sad.  

So what I'm going to need from all of you is for you to put your stories in a format that Kendall can read and then give them to me!  That is all.  Thanks.

Uhhh...so how exactly does one make stories readable for Kendall?

(This is a serious question. I'm not making fun, I honestly want to know how this could be accomplished.)

Wikipedia says .mobi, .txt, .tpz, azw, and kinda .pdf. Which... means nothing to me. It's like a completely foreign language.

do you use word? if you do then you can easily select your favorite stories copy and paste into word and then when you hit save look for the drop down called format. There you can choose tst. pdf. and all kinds of formats :)

You could c/p things into google docs and save them as .pdf files, then dl onto Kendall. The formatting may get a little wonky, though. You could also save them into .pdf in MS Word (i've heard, in the newer version).

As for the other file extensions, I have no idea!

I've put a .pdf book on it and it is quite wonky. I think it does best with the other file types. I think there's a way to convert it, though.

You've probably read most of my stuff already, but if there are any you want to feed to Kendall, let me know which and I'll try to save them for you and email them to you. I'm fairly certain I can make .txt or .pdf files out of them. No clue about those other formats.

You should post a picture of Kendall. He'll make friends faster that way. :)

libby_drew posted a few days ago about getting things onto a kindle. You should check it out. also, dysonrules and faithwood both have lots of pdfs of their stuff. :)

Thank you! I've been looking at it, and I love when people post "how to" guides, because otherwise I would never know. Because I'm slow. :)
